Auf der Karte stehen je ein Werk aus dem weiten Universum zeitgenössischer Klaviermusik, ein Gespräch mit den Pianist:innen und natürlich der passende Drink. Mit «Black/blackness – After Mantra(s)» wirft Jessie Cox die Frage auf, wer bestimmen kann, was «gut» ist. In seinem neuen Klavierstück wird die Pianistin zum verblassenden Stern in einem Planetensystem von Klängen, die sich zunehmend verselbständigen und dem System neue Beweglichkeit geben.

On two evenings, just in time for an aperitif, the festival centre will be transformed into a bar. The menu includes a selection from the vast universe of contemporary piano music, a conversation with the pianists and, of course, the perfect drink. In «Black/blackness – After Mantra(s)», Jessie Cox raises the question of who gets to decide what is «good». In his new piece, the pianist becomes a fading star in a planetary system of sounds that increasingly take on a life of their own, giving the system a new sense of motion.
