November 9, the annual Piano-a-Thon fundraiser for Akron Children's Hospital ACH Music Therapy Department returns to our Atrium Lobby with a brand-new method of bringing us their student marathon piano recital! Thanks to the new technologies of Steinway & Sons’ Spirio piano, local piano teachers and their students will perform "live" on a Spirio grand piano placed in the lobby of Akron Children’s’ Hospital as they simultaneously play a matching Spirio in the recital hall at Steinway Piano Gallery. Patients, employees and visitors will be able to see and hear the piano playing just as if they were playing right at the Steinway and guests will be able to listen live in our hall as well!
Interested in having your students participate in Piano-A-Thon 2024? Join us for a Kick Off Event August 3 from 10am – 12pm at Steinway! Information and registration will be available, along with Spirio demonstrations, so that our participants will understand exactly what the hospital audience will see.
