Physical Theatre Improv Workshop for Dancers and Actors at Flux School of Arts led by our trainers Rajiv, Sahiba and Yash will be focused on exploring body movement as a form of storytelling. Physical theatre encompasses a series of warm-up exercises to develop physical awareness and flexibility, to convey and express emotions and narratives through gesture, posture, and spatial awareness. Emphasis will be placed on improvisation and collaboration, to help actors channel their creative self-expression and let the bodies speak the language of art. Through games and activities, we will break down the barriers between the mind and body, integrating both and discovering new ways to express ideas and emotions without relying only on spoken language. This will be a kick start for beginners interested in learning improv comedy. The workshop will take individuals through the foundational rules of improv, teach them skills to sharpen their minds for improv and introduce them to the foundations of improv comedy. Learn the foundations of storytelling, scene work, character building, fluid thinking and working with collaborative teams. The foundations you learn here, will not just have an impact on stage but the same principals also carry through in your real life, and will make you a better professional, a better friend and a better individual.
