07.55: Meet at the Gas Station near Wutthakat BTS Station
08.00: Van leaves from the station driving to Phetchaburi Province.
10.00: Visit Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park
One of Phetchaburi’s most famous landmarks, Khao Wang (or “Palace Hill” as the locals call it), sits gracefully atop at 92-meter-high hill in the heart of the city. Built by King Rama IV in 1860, this stunning site once served as his summer palace. The entire compound is a beautiful blend of Thai, neoclassical Western, and Chinese architecture, featuring royal halls, palaces, temples, and other elegant buildings.
13.00: Visit Cafe and Sea Salt Farm
Thailand’s sea salt farming, found in coastal provinces like Samut Sakhon and Phetchaburi, is best seen during the dry season (Nov–Apr) when seawater evaporates, leaving behind glistening salt fields. Farmers use traditional wooden tools to harvest the salt, creating a stunning landscape that also attracts migratory birds. Rich in cultural significance, salt farming is celebrated through local festivals and markets. Visitors can enjoy guided tours, try salt harvesting, and buy high-quality sea salt while supporting local communities.
