About this Event
Get to know the museum's collection with a series of public print viewings. A member of the MoCP's education team will lead a discussion on select themes and works pulled from the archive. Drop in to learn about some of the museum’s best works that are normally behind closed doors and meet fellow photography enthusiasts. These in-person sessions are free and open to all.
By drawing on techniques of photojournalism, forensic photography, and documentary landscape, the artists presented in this session actively engage with myth and reality as they question the roles of memory, the media, and evidence in photography. Artists featured include Richard Barnes, Carlos Javier Ortiz, Christian Patterson, Taryn Simon, and Angela Strassheim.
