Photography Lighting WORKSHOP by Giano Currie x #PhotoWalk305

Join us for an immersive studio lighting workshop led by Giano Currie, founder of After Hours® Photoshoot, in collaboration with #PhotoWalk305. This hands-on session is designed for photographers looking to deepen their understanding of portraiture and professional studio lighting techniques.

You’ll gain practical experience with multiple lighting setups, guided by Giano’s cinematic approach to shaping light and shadow. From high-contrast black-and-white to bold color styling, you’ll learn how to craft striking portraits using intentional direction, controlled lighting, and refined visual composition.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Bring your camera (DSLR or mirrorless preferred — film welcomed)

• Costumes and props (optional but encouraged)

• Your favorite beverage (BYOB)

• Creative energy

#PhotoWalk305 will provide water and light hospitality. Models will be stationed throughout the studio for portrait practice.

Giano Currie is a Miami-based fine art and portrait photographer with over 15 years of experience, known for his bold lighting, sculptural compositions, and immersive portrait events. As the creative force behind After Hours® Photoshoot, he transforms traditional photography into live art experiences that foster community and creativity. His work has been exhibited internationally and is rooted in minimalism, abstraction, and Miami’s vibrant cultural identity.

#PhotoWalk305 is a monthly Miami-based photography event founded by Ivan Ardila, Juan Caraballo, and Paola Katherine Rodriguez. It brings together analogue and digital photographers of all levels to walk, shoot, and connect across the city.
