About this Event
Do you happen to have an awesome camera but are intimidated by figuring out what the best settings are? Composition, techniques and, of course, what others may think? So instead it just sits around, slowly collecting dust? Well, whether you're new or old, I'm hoping with my Photography 101 class we'll be able to dispel all of that and get you out there taking some awesome photos!
The course will cover two of the most basic things when it comes to photography: Exposure Triangle and General Composition.
This is a 1-hour intro class, where I will be going over the essential basics to get you rocking and rolling. Bring a laptop or pen & paper to take notes. Bringing your camera is highly encouraged as well! Most importantly, bring an open mind and a hunger to learn! By the end of the course I am hoping that you'll walk away with the skills necessary to capture your perfect shot!

Instructor Bio:
Rafael Edward Adriatico Carmona (say that five times fast), or as everyone and how he likes to be referred to as “Raph,” considers himself a jack of all trades, master of none. A title befiting, as the job he had in his previous life in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic, or “crew chief”, would typically be given this moniker due to their ever changing nature of the job. This would serve him well, having to be quick with his wits and be able to adapt on the fly. “Y’know, my whole adaptability thing stretches even further back, having grown up all over the place. The military just made me that much more of who I already was.”
He takes that quick wittedness and flexibility to the passion that he loves now, which is production and journalism. After his service, he had utilized his GI Bill to pursue the thing he loves to do. “I think that it was only logical for me to go down this road of production in journalism. I love talking to people, hearing and possibly even sharing their stories if they allow it. It’s absolutely fascinating to me, when you take the time to sit down and listen to how peoples experiences shape them and the stories that they go through in their lives.”
“With so many people on our little planet, there are so many amazing stories to tell. Stories that will make you laugh, and stories that will make you cry. At the end of it all, I just want to do my absolute best in being a storyteller.”
