Learn the process behind cyanotypes – blueprints using coated paper and sunlight mixed with everyday objects – then take your creations home
About this Event

Anjalika will demonstrate a photographic process that produces blueprints using coated paper and sunlight. This cameraless approach is called cyanotype, a process going back to the dawn of photography, perhaps the most famous being Anna Atkins’s book Photographs of British Algae: Cyanotype Impressions, published in 1843.

Participants are invited to bring along some of their favourite botanical materials (such as leaves and flowers) or flat objects which will fit on an A5 piece of paper. All other materials will be provided. Each participant will take home finished blueprints of their own making.

Please arrive 10 minutes early at the Vine Tree Pub (BA11 2EH) meeting point to be ready to start at 10:30 and maximise your workshop time.

Please also note that, due to the processes involved, this workshop is not recommended for under-16s.
