Come and join us as we desperately hope for good weather for shooting the late afternoon, golden hour, sunset and blue hour in Lumphini Park and atop Dusit Central Park.
We don't really have a route for this walk so much as a schedule. We will meet at the Silom MRT station for the briefing and group photo, then release you into Lumphini Park to explore and shoot whatever you want. Given the time of day, expect joggers, Zumba, possibly some workers setting up for the Red Cross Fair, crows, cats and monitor lizards.
The admin team recommends shooting in Lumphini Park for 1.5 hours before heading to the Dusit Central Park mall on the other side of Rama VI Road (using the MRT station as an underpass to safely cross the road) at 5:30 pm. This will get us to the mall's rooftop park in time for sunset and blue hour. You are welcome and encouraged to join us, but you can also stay in Lumphini Park, if you prefer.
As we're approach the festive season, we want to use this late walk to build up an appetite for a meal together at a restaurant in this area, but we are currently still in the process of planning this. If you would like to have a nice social evening with your fellow photographers, please let us know how many people you would like to bring (can include significant others, even non-photographers), any special dietary requirements and any restaurant recommendations.
Charge your batteries and bring empty memory cards. You'll love this walk! We welcome people of all skill levels with all kinds of cameras, from phones to DSLRs, digital or film.
Join us December 7 at 4pm at Exit 1 of Si Lom MRT station. After the walk, you will be invited to send us your favourite photos by December 14. The best of them will go into our monthly magazine and you can get live feedback on them at the Walk Talk.
