About this Event
In this workshop, hosted by Elisa Tenenbaum, students will learn how to transfer a photographic image (or a photo-copy of anything) onto canvas/linen. This process can also be used to transfer images onto other surfaces, but for the sake of simplicity we will use primed linen. Once an image is transferred onto the canvas/linen, one can enhance the image and/or add other media. You will also learn layering techniques using semi-transparent glazes for other special effects. Any seasoned artist will benefit from learning these techniques, however NO previous drawing or painting experience is required.
Cost is $85 per person which includes all materials, except please bring a photo-copy (xerox, etc) of an image you’d like to use to make your own piece of art! The image can be of any subject matter, in color or black & white, but should not exceed 6”x9”. Also, please bring lots of rags😊. Please wear clothing appropriate for paint-work, or bring a smock.
