Seeing is Forgetting combines analog synths with baritone saxophone + bass clarinet. ___________
Susanna Briones:
Susanna Briones is a Copenhagen-based multidisciplinary composer, cellist, and improviser. Her musical background includes classical cello and guitar, choral music, and extensive work with improvisation, with a strong interest in texture, resonance, and the testing of musical ideas across different contexts.
This solo performance for cello brings together works by Bach and Britten with improvised material and references to Björk. The concert functions as a tribute to the tonalities and sounds that resonate throughout Briones’ musical life, approached as a personal and evolving study rather than a fixed interpretation. The cello is used both traditionally and as a resonant sound source.
Presented as an open format, the performance reflects an ongoing exploration of solo playing. It offers a focused listening situation in which historical material and spontaneous decisions coexist, and where the music remains attentive to presence and process.
