PHOENIX FLIES 2024 | An Iconic Church and Cemetery and a 300-Year-Old Tree

Docents look forward to welcoming you to the one room frame church, built c. 1880s. Learn about the adjacent Pleasant Hill Cemetery c. 1896, its funerary art and veterans’ graves and the early 1700s Post Oak tree in front of the church. This property was transferred in the 1821 Treaty of Indian Springs from the Creek Nation to the United States.
