Psychedelic or not, many of us have had an experience of feeling at one with or indistinguishable from something beyond ourselves, whether that be the world, nature or the divine. What can these experiences tell us about the nature of consciousness?
Join us and Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) for a talk from Dr. Chris Letheby — a senior lecturer of Philosophy at UWA — on the philosophy of psychedelics, with a focus on what psychedelic experience can tell us about the structure of conscious experience.
After a brief Q&A session with Chris, we will discuss as a group: "Does psychedelic experience show there can be consciousness without a self?"
