About this Event
Philosophy is not just an abstract pursuit - it is a way of living.
This course is designed for individuals eager to deepen their conversations and elevate their philosophical thinking. Through a range of enjoyable and thought-provoking practices, you will learn to be more reflective, connected, and thoughtful — both with others and with ideas.
You will cultivate essential philosophical skills while exploring engaging and stimulating practices that can enrich everyday life and self-understanding. During these sessions, you will learn and explore specific practices - meditation, authentic relating and the Socratic method - and the philosophical and scientific concepts on which they are based. Course dates and location
The sessions will take place across the four Tuesday evenings November. All sessions will be held in person at The Birmingham and Midland Institute.
- What is Practice? - Tuesday 4 November, 6.30 - 9.30 pm
- Philia: Authentic Relating - Tuesday 11 November, 6.30 - 9.30 pm
- Sophia: Collective Wisdom - Tuesday 18 November, 6.30 - 9.30 pm
- Philosophy: Bringing It Together - Tuesday 25 November, 6.30 - 9.30 pm
Ticketing
We recommend attending all four sessions, as each one builds on the last. However, each session can also be enjoyed on its own.
- Full series (four sessions): £40. To purchase, select the 4 November option, and we will register you for all subsequent dates.
- Individual sessions: £15 each.
- Returning students can enjoy a 20% discount on the full series.
