Phillip Howe is a Charlotte area pianist, saxophonist, and trumpet player. After growing up singing in his family’s trio in church and years of classical piano study he discovered jazz. After graduating from the Bill Hanna school of music at the Double Door Inn, Phillip has turned his sights to playing a vast array of varied music. Through Chopin to hip hop to beach music, jazz has always been at the forefront of his pursuits. Phillip has shared the stage with many artists including Steve Smith, Arturo O’Farrill, Train, Michael Franti, Dick Oats, Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, Robert Glasper, Reggie Wooten, The Chairmen of the Board, and more.
