In celebration of the Philippine Independence Day in June, the Philippine Art and Culture Exchange (PACE) is organizing a month-long event at the Artistes du Monde for Kids (AMK) in Place Flagey, Brussels. This time, we want to focus on children by offering free workshops: Meg Gerner of Paris-based Kuwento Kultura, multi-disciplinary artist Mylene Factora, Montessori teacher Meg Santiago will bring Philippine books to life with storytelling, reading, music, arts and crafts. We will also have a special workshop with visiting Philippine Papercut master Badz Magsumbol. The event will also have a month-long exhibit, featuring two young Belgium-based Filipino artists: Brendan Joshua Tabangay with his doodle art and Jonabel Huavas with her amazing watercolours. Other things to expect during this month-long celebration? Philippine brunches and afternoon tea, mini-concerts, markets... in the hidden, cozy and sunny park of Artistes du Monde for Kids. Hope to see you all there! Follow our page, Philippine Art and Culture Exchange (PACE) for more details.
