Taste, listen, and be inspired. This special session features Dalareich Polot, “Bohol’s Chocolate Princess”, an award-winning social entrepreneur and chocolate maker transforming Philippine cacao into world-class creations. The event blends two rich experiences: a guided chocolate tasting (including authentic Filipino hot chocolate) and a fireside conversation with Dalareich about her journey from a small family kitchen to global recognition.Although cacao is not native to the Philippines, it was brought from Latin America by Spanish colonizers in the 17th century, the islands have since become home to a thriving cacao culture. Today, as climate change shifts global growing conditions, the Philippines is emerging as an increasingly vital region for sustainable chocolate production. Guests will explore this evolving story through flavor, heritage, and purpose, and support the “Plant a Cacao Tree” advocacy, a program reforesting cacao-growing communities and empowering local farmers.
