During WWII, European allies created a special version of the popular Parker Brothers game, Monopoly, hiding secret contraband--such as tools, maps, and money--which was sent to allied servicemen held in German POW camps to help them escape. Philip E. Orbanes, former president of Winning Moves Games and preeminent authority on Monopoly, will discuss the games' little known history related to his new book on the subject, Monopoly X.
