JOSHUA TREE CULTURAL CENTER is pleased to announce musician auditions for its Joshua Tree Philharmonic (JPHIL)—an innovative, intergenerational, and professionally-minded orchestra. In its 22nd year of performances, the Joshua Tree Philharmonic performs musical selections from BROADWAY's best loved musical theater in its concert series, BROADWAY IN CONCERT, running May 8-10, 2026. Tickets always sell out.

Under the baton of renowned composer and maestro Jarrod Radnich, the JPHIL pulls out all the stops to bring Broadway to Joshua Tree! Including selected guest vocalists who will perform with the JPHIL, the repertoire includes fantastic selections from The Lion King, Rent, Wicked, Rock Of Ages, The Phantom Of The Opera, West Side Story, Fiddler On The Roof, Les Misérables, Mamma Mia, Cats, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Chicago, and Evita!

Rehearsals take place Monday evenings at the Cultural Center's state-of-the-art Blak Box Theater. Musicians of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply and become a part of one of Southern California's most dynamic musical ensembles.

About the JPHIL

Celebrating excellence for over 20 years, the Joshua Tree Cultural Center’s Joshua Tree Philharmonic (JPHIL) is an innovative, professionally-minded, inter-generational orchestra comprising of over 60 musicians from Southern California. Formed and led by renowned composer and pianist, Jarrod Radnich, the philharmonic is a mix of professional and highly dedicated amateur/student musicians. The philharmonic rehearses and performs a wide variety of musical styles from popular, classical, jazz, world, and more. Many of the musicians mentor young members and provide valuable guidance in ensemble performance. The concerts also provide an important educational opportunity for the local residents, many who would not otherwise have access to live orchestral music and instruments.
