Join The Lenfest Institute for Journalism, The Knight-Lenfest Local News Transformation Fund, and the Independence Public Media Foundation for a closing ceremony to celebrate 12 news and media founders of color in the Philadelphia Media Founders Exchange.
The ceremony will feature presentations by the 2023 cohort members, reflections on PMFE, and a collective look toward the future. Guests will enjoy lunch, community-building and resourcing, and the opportunity to connect with members of the 2022 and 2023 cohorts.

The Philadelphia Media Founders Exchange focuses on the urgent need and opportunity to support and advance more media entrepreneurs of color to ensure communities prosper and news businesses thrive and grow sustainably on their own terms.
The Founders Exchange launched in March 2022, and over the duration of the five-month program, the Founders Exchange entrepreneurs received training on operations, revenue and monetization, and marketing and branding to help them build profitable and sustainable media businesses. They also each received access to $30,000 in grant funding and professional coaching to support their entrepreneurial efforts.
The Philadelphia Media Founders Exchange is supported by The Lenfest Institute for Journalism, The Knight-Lenfest Local News Transformation Fund, and the Independence Public Media Foundation. Its programming is led by Love Now Media in partnership with Black & Brown Founders.
