Szalka Sára Villő Fázisátalakulás című sorozata azt az átmenetet ragadja meg, amely során élményeink az determinálatlanból a meghatározottba lépnek át – mint amikor egy gondolat formát ölt, mielőtt kimondhatóvá válna; egy kép elmosódva lebeg, mielőtt élessé válna; vagy megjelenik egy érzés, mielőtt pontos körvonalakat kapna. Festményei az absztrakció és a figuráció határán léteznek, láthatóvá téve azt a pillanatot, amikor a formátlan minőségek összetett rendszerei elkezdenek kristályosodni, meghatározott alakot és szerkezetet nyerni.
Sára Villő Szalka’s Phase Transitions captures the passage by which our experiences move from the indeterminate to the determinate - as when a thought begins to take shape before becoming articulate, an image wavers before settling into focus, or an emotion is felt without yet having precise contours. Her paintings inhabit the threshold between abstraction and figuration, rendering visible the moment when amorphous complexes of qualities begin to crystallize into definite shape and structure.
