Need some summer motivation for your dissertation? The University Graduate School and UGS Scholars are running free, dedicated in-person group-working sessions to help you find space to focus on your dissertation over the summer!
Join us for a distraction-free space, and a friendly, supportive environment to help you beat procrastination, focus on your work, and hit your dissertation targets.
We will be running several sessions over the summer period. Please see our schedule below and book your place!
- Tuesday 2nd July, 10:00-16:00
- Thursday 18th July, 10:00-16:00
- Wednesday 31st July, 10:00-16:00
- Monday 12th August, 10:00-16:00
All of these sessions will take place in the Main Library 4th Floor Training Room (R30 on the campus map; find full accessibility information here), and we will provide you with a free coffee voucher to use in the Food Fellows café downstairs too!
You are welcome to join for the whole day, or to drop in and out as your schedule permits. Please note that there are no computers in the Main Library 4th Floor Training Room, but you can borrow a laptop from the ground floor of the Main Library, and the room is equipped with plenty of plug sockets. You can also use the Main Library to find more reading materials throughout the day too!
This session welcomes students on the following postgraduate courses in 2023-24: MA, MSc, MBA, MEd, LLM, MPH, Maths SKE, MPA, PG Affiliate, PG Certificate, PG Dip Ed, PG Diploma, and PGCE. It is open to PGT students at the University of Birmingham only.
