Thanks to the generosity of Keswick Theatre, join PFS/M.A.C. at the Annex on Tuesday, September 16th @ 7 PM for a FREE evening of music. River Drivers will perform a FREE show of Celtic-tinged Americana at the Annex (7–8 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m.) Come out for a night of rousing music and camaraderie. Emcee: Rob Lincoln. This monthly series is FREE for all PFS members (and potential members!). Stop by our membership table! The bar will be open! At 8 p.m. there will be an opportunity for local artists to shine in our in-person, PFS Open Mic in the Annex. It’s first come/first-served sign-ups. About the Artists:
Four friends, more than half a dozen instruments, and good craic. River Drivers have roots in Ireland and Appalachia by way of Philadelphia and play a combination of Celtic music, Americana, and hard-driving folk songs. Anchored by Kevin McCloskey (vocals, guitar, mandolin) and Mindy Murray (vocals, guitar, banjo) with accompaniment by Marian Moran (Irish whistles, concertina) and Meagan Ratini (fiddle, Irish flute), their latest release Live At SteelStacks filled with high energy music explores pervasive themes of hard-working people and social justice. “An energy source of Celtic and Americana soaked sound… These diverse songs are sung with a raw conviction and intensity that tell the truth of the passion felt from within the band.”– Irish Music Magazine
