PFLAG Lubbock meetings are a safe place to share our experiences in small groups and support each other in the continuing process of learning, acceptance, and celebration. Our meetings begin at 7:00 pm but come a few minutes early to meet others and browse materials. The size of our meetings varies, however, you can expect 15-30 people (members and first-time visitors).
The meeting begins with the Chapter President welcoming everyone and making a few announcements. Each month we offer a program that focuses on one of the three primary missions – Support, Education or Advocacy.
Programs normally last between 30-45 minutes. We have announcements from the floor after the program and then everyone is invited to share any news or concerns that they would like to share. No one will be pressed to share information and simply listening what others have to say is fine.
Confidentiality is a top priority. Nothing said during sharing – support time will leave our meeting room.
Our organization does not promote one religion or political party or candidate over another. We represent people of many backgrounds, political persuasions, and faiths. All are welcome.
