This course will not only help you identify mental health illnesses but give you confidence and techniques on how to help others in need.
As a pet owner, I share with many other pet owners the benefits that dog walking has on my mind and body, seeing the positive effects on my dog. Just petting your pet makes us feel happier and reduces our stress levels.
This course can form a natural progression from our pet/canine advanced pet first aid course or be a standalone course. It teaches us how pets affect our mental health and how we can learn to help others in need.
This course will not only help you identify mental health illness but also give you confidence and techniques on how to help others in need, you know that person on the bench in the park, looking a bit distant or sad; or perhaps that older lady who just seeking a bit of company; or conversation; your stressed-out friend who just lost his job; your work colleague who doesn’t seem to be herself these day; you know who I mean, yet what can you do to help?
We believe that you'll find this course enjoyable and that it will encourage you to complete our regulated Advanced Mental Health Awareness in the Workplace course. You can use the skills you learn in this course to improve your own workplace and business. This course can be taken as a natural progression from our advanced pet first aid course, or as a standalone course.
