Join us at Boxley’s Jazz Club for a special evening of straight-ahead jazz featuring Milo Petersen, Nick Mardon, and Nate Sharp — three musicians with deep connections to the Snoqualmie Valley and the Seattle jazz scene. This performance brings together Christian Milo Petersen, a highly respected guitarist, drummer, and educator who has been a cornerstone of the Northwest jazz community for decades, with his former student, Nick Mardon. A Mount Si High School alum, Nick studied both guitar and drums with Milo while playing in the Mount Si Jazz Band. Now an accomplished performer, Nick returns to his jazz roots to share the stage with his longtime mentor. Joining them on upright bass is Nate Sharp, also a Mount Si graduate and a classmate of Nick’s. A graduate of Central Washington University with a degree in music education and upright bass performance, Nate is an active performing and recording bassist in the Seattle jazz scene — and a frequent collaborator with Nick in various jazz projects. This unique trio will feature both Nick and Milo switching between guitar and drums, offering a dynamic and engaging interplay that highlights their versatility and shared musical history.
