Peterborough Pick 'n' Mix

ARU Peterborough is launching a new outreach project called Peterborough Pick n Mix. The idea behind the project is that we take topics from within the university and make them accessible to the community through short workshops hosted in a relaxed and informal environment breaking down barriers and introducing the new university to wider Peterborough. The workshops will be delivered over 4 nights each offering a different aspect of exploration so that people are free to pick and mix the workshops that most appeal to them.

Monday 15 April 6.00pm – 7.15pm

Peterborough Pick n Mix: Computing and Robotics

Peterborough Pick and Mix is delivered to you by ARU Peterborough. The team will share their knowledge and expertise in a range of 30-minute workshops offering an insight into everyday topics. Workshop 1 will explore the inner workings of computers through interactive games and workshop 2 will reveal the mechanics of robotics through building a robot arm.

Peterborough Pick n Mix: DNA Extraction and Creating Medicine

Peterborough Pick and Mix is delivered to you by ARU Peterborough. The team will share their knowledge and expertise in a range of 30-minute workshops offering an insight into everyday topics. Workshop 1 will explore the hidden code within everyday fruit through the extraction of DNA and workshop 2 will consider why the consistency of cough medicine makes a difference to how effective it is.

Peterborough Pick and Mix is delivered to you by ARU Peterborough. The team will share their knowledge and expertise in a range of 30-minute workshops offering an insight into everyday topics. Workshop 1 will explore the ideas and solutions to problems through business related activities developing the entrepreneurial mind and workshop 2 will look at developing a strong brand identity and the positive impact branding can have on a business.
