Melbourne singer-songwriter Peter Freebairn recently released his first solo full-length album 'Silhouettes and Cigarettes’. The album featuring Freebairn's arrangement, production and instrumentation boasts contributions from former Radio Vertigo bandmates. Pop Preservation Society is proud to announce that Peter Freebairn with Radio Vertigo will be appearing live at The Post Office Hotel (Coburg) on the evening of Saturday 3rd August. They will be performing songs from Freebairn’s new album plus selections from his earlier catalogue and work with Radio Vertigo. Freebairn’s musical influences include The Beatles, Neil Young, Tom Waits, The Beach Boys, Curtis Mayfield, XTC, Jellyfish and Matthew Sweet. Following the band’s set, Freebairn will be joined onstage by Dave Dharumasena on bass and Paul Boyle on drums for a night of iconic tunes accompanied by the great Pentridge pale ale. Playing across Melbourne for over 30 years, this lineup brings their uniquely grungy spin on all the classics including Rolling Stones, Bob Marley and Johnny Cash.
