Pete Kavanagh is a singer-songwriter, musician and storyteller from Co. Kildare. Pete’s songs feel like catching up with an old friend—honest, real, and straight from the heart. You can hear echoes of Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Johnny Cash, Christy Moore and others in his music, but those are just the roots. What makes Pete’s sound special is the way he takes those influences and makes them his own—intimate, fresh, and timeless all at once. There’s a rawness and honesty in how he tells his stories, and when you hear him, it feels like he's speaking directly to you in that moment.
Pete's song "Darkness Before Dawn" was recently recorded by Christy Moore and features on Christy's latest album "A Terrible Beauty", released on November 1st 2024.

Pete’s critically acclaimed debut solo album, Join up the Dots received glowing reviews and plenty of airplay since its release.

Pete has shared the stage with and supported artists such as Jerry Fish, Mundy, Paddy Casey, Eleanor Shanley, Freddie White, Martin Stephenson, Luka Bloom, Mary Black, Mike Hanrahan, Victoria Keating & Declan Sinnott and he is also a founding member of The Muddy River Band, who are currently on tour, performing in theatres and venues nationwide.
Pete will be playing some solo gigs in intimate settings throughout 2025.
