A Crookes Folk Club presentation at The Princess Royal, 43 Slinn Street, Sheffield, S10 1NW.*TICKETING & DOOR POLICY*
Whilst we occasionally run ticketed Friday Night Specials, entry for our regular weekly Thursday club nights is on a first-come-first-served basis and unticketed and we do not take advanced seat bookings.
Entry for regular club nights is free, we pay our guests by way of a *CASH* collection. Whilst we understand that some simply haven't the means to make a contribution and absolutely DO NOT wish to exclude them, we expect those who can to make as generous a donation as they are able in recognition of our guest's work.

Life is full of unexpected ups and downs, illness, weather and other unexpected things can spoil the best made plans. We may sometimes have to change our guest at short notice, or even cancel an evening altogether. To avoid disappointment please re-visit the relevant night's event for updates *BEFORE* setting out.

Pete on his appearance at Crookes:
"I'm looking forward to my night at Crookes folk club on 18th September and I hope it is well attended. All proceeds from the night will be going to support Prostate Cancer UK which is a charity I contribute to most weeks via an Open Mic at a pub called Pen Nook in Deepcar. I will be performing my own songs plus some carefully selected covers which I hope you enjoy.
"I am writing songs quite often these days and recording them at my little home studio. I post them online and they resurface on such things as Amazon, Spotify and YouTube which raises a small sum of money for me on a monthly basis.
"I will be performing my more recent songs since I don't see the point in performing songs about breaking up with girl friends in the 1960s.
"My song subject areas are varied, a new song can strike at any time. I don't usually try and write a song, more often than not they just turn up. They could be about something that's on my mind or complete surprises which is a delightful.
"On September 18th I am inviting people I have met quite recently to add something to songs I perform and also to covers. Rehearsals are ongoing. I hope people find the night entertaining, it's certainly better than me churning out a load of old stuff.
"So be prepared for a surprise or two as opposed to same old same old. See you there I hope and remember it's all in a good cause.
