Join Laura for a six-hour workshop on Saturday, August 30th, 9am - 3pm., to learn to make a Dresden Plate "quilt block" and leave with a beautifully adorned floor pouf. This pouf is perfect for stuffing with all those small trimmings and scraps to keep out of the landfill! Larger scraps can also be used for the Dresden Plate.Level: Confident Beginner
Attendees should already be comfortable using a sewing machine, rotary cutter & ruler, and iron for this class. We will be using 1/4" seam allowances, and installing zippers!
Price: $95.00
The cost of the class includes six hours of instruction in a small group setting, use of our sewing studio and tools, and the pattern for the floor pouf. You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine, but we have machines in our studio to use during the class, if you don't have your own machine.
This project requires:
about 1yd for pillow front,
about 1 yard for pillow back,
about 1 yard of interfacing, fusible fleece, batting, etc. (optional) for loft,
about 1 yard muslin, tracing paper, or cheap material for making pillow template (kind of optional, but recommended),
16 10"x10" scraps or larger,
12" or larger zipper.
Any fabric purchased for this class at the shop will receive a 20% discount.
Time: Saturday, August 30th,9am - 3pm.
