Pet Retina is a musical project based in Victoria, BC. It is led by drummer and composer Maxwell Patterson, who is joined by Lauren Kale. Kale contributes to the band's sound by manipulating pedals and "bent" electronic toys - these are devices whose internal circuitry has been modified or interfered with to produce bizarre and often random sonic results.
This collaboration distinguishes Pet Retina from patterson's solo work, framing it as a live, experimental duo that blends structured percussion with unpredictable electronic textures.

Niemy Dotyk - is the musical project of Mimi, an artist who focuses on sound files and free improvisation. She is also the founder of the zzzapomnienie label and a member of the noise band Polsoja.
