Join artist Teri in her studio for a weekend pet painting workshop. This session has limited seating to allow for more one-on-one instruction.
Teri is an experienced pet portrait artist with 10+ years in painting instruction. Breaking this session into two days (for 2.5 hours each day) allows for a relaxed pace and the time needed for learning techniques and adding details.
Day one focuses on eyes, nose and laying out basic color patterns. Day two will dive deeper into adding details and final touches to bring your pet to life.
Canvas size is 12x12 or 11x14 depending on what works best with your photo. The composition will be focused on the face. So, close up pictures work best. Keep in mind, if you zoom in on the photo and cannot see details clearly, it will be difficult to get good results.
*please email 2-3 of the best pictures of your pet to allow Teri to decide which one will lend itself to the best results. Well lit, in focus, close up photos of the face work well. Photos must be received no later than Wednesday, Nov. 6th to give enough time to be sketched onto the canvas. Email to [email protected]
There's always music to keep the creative vibes flowing. You are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks to the studio.
Whether they have fur, feathers or scales, you can paint any pet of your choice.
