The workshop will be presented by Dr. Heather Becker from Animal Emergency Medical Training (AEMT).
Topics that will be discussed include:
- Recognizing and assessing injuries and medical emergencies
- Assessing airway, breathing, and circulation
- Bandaging
- Heat stroke
- Choking
- Near-drowning
- Basic cardiopulmonary life support

Optional Pet CPR certification is available!
In partnership with RECOVER, there will also be an optional Pet CPR certification available. To receive your Pet CPR certification, you MUST complete RECOVER’s online Pet CPR program prior to Summit’s in-person workshop. While we love your dogs, this workshop is for humans only. Demo dogs will be provided as needed.
Please note: This workshop is not to become a Pet CPR Certified Instructor. This Pet CPR Course is for pet owners and professionals.
