The Henrico County Police Animal Shelter will hold an adoption event on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 10421 Woodman Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060.Our goal is to find homes for the animals currently in our care so that they can spend the holidays with their new families, thanks to the generous sponsorship from our partners! The William A. Harrison Jr. Foundation and Furbish Thrift are sponsoring the spay and neuter surgeries for the animals, and the Henrico Humane Society is sponsoring the adoptions fees of any pets adopted during the event.
We do want to remind potential adopters that pets are not presents; they are a long-term commitment to care for, and one that we think is so worth it! Please talk to our staff if you need any recommendations on finding a veterinarian, groomer, or other animal care services.
People interested in pet adoption will need to bring a photo ID, and a collar and leash, or pet carrier are suggested but not required for your convenience of bringing your new pet home.
