Pet Adoption Event in Oklahoma City

Mathis Home and FOX 25 are teaming up to help families find their FURever friends. Local rescues from across Oklahoma City will bring more than 30 adoptable dogs and cats to our parking lot for a welcoming, family-friendly event.

🐾Get to know the rescues! 🐾

• The Underdogs Rescue - We are a foster-based, volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals who might otherwise be forgotten—senior dogs, those with medical or behavioral needs, or those passed over due to breed stigma. These are our underdogs. Each animal enters a loving foster home where they heal, grow, and learn what it means to be part of a family. When they are ready, we match them with compassionate adopters committed to giving them the forever home they deserve. But we do more than rehome pets—we advocate for them. We educate. We work to prevent suffering before it begins. Through community outreach and public education, we promote responsible pet ownership, including spaying and neutering, as the most powerful tool to fight overpopulation.
• Pets & People Humane Society - At Pets and People, we are dedicated to providing a safe haven for animals in need. Through our spay/neuter programs and comprehensive health initiatives, we strive to improve the lives of every furry friend that comes through our doors. • 405 Animal Rescue - An estimated 11 million cats and dogs are killed in United States shelters each year. Our organization strives to help beat those odds as much as possible by rescuing animals off death-row and euthanasia, rescuing unwanted animals, promoting spay and neuter, microchipping to increase the return-to-owner rate, socialize and rehabilitate mentally and physically abused animals, and much more. We go above and beyond to adopt our our wonderful, deserving animals out to approved homes to kick start them into their new lives, full of love, happiness and security.
• El Reno Animal Shelter - Adopting an animal from the El Reno Animal Control Shelter is easier than you think. First, identify the pet you want. Second, contact the Police Department at 405-262-6941 to set-up a visitation/adoption appointment. Third, you'll be asked to sign a small release form. Fourth, take your pet home.
• Safe Haven Animal Rescue - Save Haven Animal Rescue is a volunteer-driven, no K*ll, animal rescue servicing the Oklahoma City area and surrounding areas. We aim to help re-home, foster dogs and cats while providing services for pet adoption, animal awareness throughout our communities.

• Happy Camper Bakery - We are a coffee trailer based out of Oklahoma City, OK offering espresso based drinks, a variety of hot chocolates, and baked goods that include muffins and cookies, depending on the time of day we are serving.
