The North Carolina Pesticide Board has recently approved a certification extension for private applicators in 2024. This means private applicators whose certification period normally ends September 30 now have until December 20 to obtain all required continuing education credits. In response, the following pesticide opportunities have been scheduled at North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Robeson County Center, located at 455 Caton Road Lumberton, NC 28360. Commercial applicators are welcome to attend the afternoon training.
Private Applicator Recertification V Training
Tuesday, December 10, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
This training will provide private applicators with updates on pesticide safety, environmental stewardship, new technologies, and commodity fumigation. This training is approved for two (2) hours of category V credit.
How to Avoid a Pesticide Investigation
Tuesday, December 10, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
This training will provide an overview of recommended practices to follow using case senarios and examples of common misuse. This training is approved for two (2) hours of category A, B, D, G, H, I, K, L, M, N, O, T, and X credits.
