About this Event
Peruvian ceviche is unlike any other Latin ceviche. The Japanese immigrants influenced their fishery skill with the ingredients and flavor of Peru creating world renowned ceviche.
If you're looking for a unique food experience, my class is like taking a trip to Lima getting know the culture of Peru via their national dish.
My restaurant, Yuyo Peruano, gained critical acclaim for serving the best ceviche in Austin. I'm sharing my training and skills, so you too can make the perfect Peruvian ceviche.
Ceviche II is ONLY for class participants that have taken my first level ceviche class. In this class, we create the two different flavors of ceviche in addition to making a leche de tigre. The two flavors consist of the aji (chile), aji amarillo and the second is rocotto. Both create two unique ceviches. We accomplish a proper sashimi cut with the fish.
Class capacity 20 person maximum and 4 person minimum. Each person has their own work station to make their own ceviche.
Ingredients provided sushi grade fish, leche de tigre ingredients, specialty Peruvian imported ingredients
Equipment provided sushi knife, cutting boards, bowls, and other auxiliary tools needed for class. Bring your own sharp chef's knife for maximum comfortability.
Class duration includes 1 hour 1/2 instruction. We start class with a welcoming Pisco cocktail or non-alcoholic cocktail. We end class enjoying your own ceviche creation.
