Written by Oprah Winfrey together with brain and trauma expert Dr. Bruce Perry, the book explores how early life experiences influence our nervous system, relationships, and sense of self. It helps explain why certain patterns repeat in our lives and why some situations feel harder to manage than others. The book does this in a very human and accessible way, using real stories, science, and personal reflection.
