by Annachiara Vispi and Giulia Macrì
with Valentina Ghelfi and Giulia Macrì
sound design Lorenzo Saini
in collaboration with Dominio Pubblico

Running Time 60 min.

This is Giulia. Like 55% of us, Giulia lives in a city.

It is predicted that by 2050, almost 70% of us will live in a city - two thirds of the people on the planet.

Giulia wonders if we'll all fit.

Giulia doubts it.

Persona Metropolitana is a piece for an actor and a dancer set on an imaginary Rome metro train / Paris RER line / London Tube carriage / Dublin DART / seat on the 5pm subway home. The story follows the protagonist, Giulia, as she gets home on the subway and begins reconsidering her role within the crowd. Initially developed in Rome, this is a reflection on what it means to live in cities, anywhere and everywhere.

I feel invisible, Giulia thinks.

Or free.
