This 2-day training is designed for case managers, servicecoordinators, direct support staff, other people at all levels
of an organization, and anyone who wants to learn fundamental Person-Centered Thinking (PCT) skills so they can support people in a person-centered way.
Participants will:
• Learn to use the Person-Centered Thinking skills/tools to support people to have a good life.
• Learn to discover what is important to and what is important for a person so their life reflects what really matters to them as well as addresses their health and safety.
• Practice the PCT skills/tools through a series of discussions, applied stories, and guided exercises.
• Develop their Person-Centered Descriptions using the PCT skills/tools.
This in-person PCT training is provided free to South Dakotans by the South Dakota Department of Human Services Division of Developmental Disabilities.
