The rumours are true. Peroxide, the party that rinsed the synth-rich sounds of the 1980s and beyond, returns from the mists of time by public demand. Like a long lost lover, maybe only for one last night, maybe longer...the decision is yours to make.It has been a full five years since our lights dimmed, the lumo got packed away and the decks fell silent. But 5 years and a pandemic later, here we are, still with that itch...for synth. And so the uv tubes flicker on, the mirrorball begins to turn and a new dancefloor awaits. We have found a new home for you to express your wildest 80s interpretive dance sequences at Hexagon Club.
To mark this return we have assembled a lineup that represents Peroxide's past, present and future in equal parts.
Starting the night off sharp at 9pm, Rob White last joined us behind the decks in 2010, in our first incarnation at Fiction. Now living in London, Rob is no stranger to these shores having been one of the original Funktion residents back in the 90s, and now a seasonal resident at Gigi Rooftop. His djing pedigree, discerning ear for the perfect record and his passion for a moody synth make him the logical choice for this all important re-opening set.
Housewife aka Kendal Gorlei plays her first Peroxide but was a regular attendee of our mid-2010s incarnation at clubs like Wonderland. Now a sought-after talent in her own right, her talent for pressure cooking dancefloors with the her signature blend of synthy creasers and high-energy edits is well known. It is this side of her range that she brings to Peroxide on December 07.
Finishing off the night is Peroxide creator/resident and all round 80s afficionado, Bruno Morphet.
And now that we're all 5 years older, we decided to start an hour earlier! Please join us for welcome bubbles courtesy of Krone, served from 9pm.
