Permission Granted is an emotional wellness workshop that provides safe spaces for Black men to openly express their emotions. In the spaces where these men are “supposed” to be emotionally safe, their feelings are often dismissed, met with judgement, or used against them in retaliation.

During this retreat styled workshop, we will have open discussions on manhood, barriers to expessing emotions, and how to create a safe space for yourself and other men. The attendees will leave with tools, resources and support to be able to FEEL.EXPRESS. LIVE. THRIVE!

From very young ages Black men are told to not show any emotions. Phrases such as “man up” and “real men don’t cry” are often heard and enforced. This goes on for about the first twenty years or so of their lives. Then around the early twenties, when these men start having serious romantic relationships, they’re expected to express their emotions. How are they to do this? No one has ever taught them how to do this. They haven't seen it modeled. Since they were instructed not to express themselves, who gives them permission to do so now? I wanted to empower Black men to give themselves the permission to express their emotions openly. Simply put, Permission Granted!

HELLO EVERYONE!!!!! I'm Ms. Jai, a Licensed Professional Counselor, the owner of Robinson Counseling & Consulting, LLC and a PROUD BOY MOM! Being a black boy mom has created a special place in my heart for Black men. I have seen first hand how unfair, stressful and unsafe the world can be for Black boys and Black men. Because of these experiences, I became passionate about being a safe space for the boys and men in my life. I created Permission Granted because I wanted to be instrumental in providing safe spaces for all Black Men.

Veteran-owned company dedicated to crafting high-quality cigars. All our cigars are hand-rolled using organic tobacco leaves aged between 9-12 years. We utilize a diverse range of tobacco leaves, including Habano, Ecuadorian, Dominican, and Nicaraguan.
