About this Event
Join one of our two two-hour interactive zine-making workshops! Open to people 18+, free with materials and refreshments provided!
In this hands-on session, you'll craft your own personal pages for a magazine (zine) inspired by real life experiences of periods and (peri)menopause. Hear us share stories that challenge stigma and silence around periods and menopause. Reflect on the gaps in support in the workplace and in healthcare. Imagine bold, inclusive solutions for change. Leave with your own handmade zine pages and a fresh perspective, while contributing to a collective zine.
Facilitated by zine artist Coin Operated Press and organised by researchers from the EDI Caucus based at Heriot-Watt University, this workshop blends research and creative activism to spark meaningful conversations.
Whether you're drawing on your own experiences or want to learn more, this workshop is a space to express, learn, and build community. Let’s build a period friendly society.
