Using a blend of lectures and cadaver-based practical sessions, this one-day course is aimed at vets working in practice who wish to perfect their technique for perineal hernia repair in the dog. Morning lectures will cover diagnosis of perineal hernia and its surgical management, with a focus on the use of an internal obturator muscle transposition technique. This technique will be performed on cadavers in the afternoon wetlab session.Learning Outcomes:
Demonstrate the surgical techniques required for meniscal exam and lateral suture for CCLD and trochleoplasty/tibial crest transposition for patella luxation.
