Perimenopause: A Transition in Body, Mind and Spirit (Zoom)

THEME: Perimenopause and the Body
This three-part virtual series is intended to explore the menopausal transition as a lived experience in the human body from three different perspectives: the physiology of the transition in the body; an awareness of the impact on mental health; and the relationship of this transition with the simultaneous life stage as it relates to personal calling. Each conversation will include an exploration of available literature, enlightening understanding; an opportunity to connect with neighbors to foster community; and a corresponding theological theme to introduce or enrich a spirituality practice that promotes peace, dignity and opportunity to flourish wherever you are in this journey.
All stages of reproductive health are welcome, whether premenopausal, perimenopausal, postmenopausal or accompanying another at some point in this journey. We all have something to offer both in support of another or a curiosity that seeks a better understanding through new insights and meaningful information. The conversation will focus on topics including women's health and reproductive health but is not exclusive of experiences that identify beyond female or childbearing.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Kelly Olson, PA-C, MTS, is a physician assistant and has practiced in surgical subspecialties for 15 years. She also has completed a Master of Theological Studies in systematic theology at St. John's University School of Theology. The two disciplines inform each other in her goals to care for the whole person through individual encounters and informed participation in social structures seeking to support the health and wellness of a dynamic, diverse community.
