IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Jazz Class Requirement: All team members must take a jazz class on Mondays (Jazz 1, Jazz 2, Foundations Jazz, or Homeschool Jazz).
Age Requirement: Ages 5-8 (Mini Team) and Ages 9+ (Elite Team)
Team Practices: The team will practice for a few hours during the week of August 5th and then weekly on Wednesdays from 5:30-6pm for the fall season.
ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE TEAM:
The Performance Dance Team will focus on Jazz, Hip Hop, and Acro dance styles, which are more entertainment-based. Practices will primarily be dedicated to learning choreography and preparing for events, rather than focusing on technique. To ensure well-rounded development, dancers are required to be enrolled in a jazz class (Jazz 1, 2, Foundations, or Homeschool). While not mandatory, it is highly encouraged for participants to enroll in additional classes, especially ballet, to gain essential dance technique.
TIME COMMITMENT:
The Performance Team is a year-round commitment! While occasional conflicts may arise, excessive absences can negatively impact the team. All team members are expected to attend every practice and every team performance event unless excused by the director.
FINANCIAL COMMITMENT:
$250 Costumes & Uniform Fee
Additional Tuition: An extra 0.5 hour will be added to the monthly tuition for weekly team rehearsals.
Performance Costs: Most performances are free, but family members may need to purchase tickets (typically, the dancer and one parent will receive free admission if tickets are required).
