Calling all musicians, sound makers, poets, theater enthusiasts and dancers! Anybody who is interested in creating performances from scratch in collaboration with different partners can join. You can have any skill level, we are looking for everyone to bring their own unique performance styles to the table!????? First Two Sessions - October 5th from 14:00-16:30 and October 12th from 14:00-16:30.

A weekly collaborative performance space where sound makers (musicians and poets) and movers (dancers and actors) are paired together to create a short new work responding to a weekly theme.
These prompts may be along the lines of - “respond to an environment”, “create a character driven piece”, “respond to an image or text”. The partners then decide on their specific interpretation of this theme, and create something from scratch. This allows for musicians to practice creating music compositions, dancers to practice creating choreography and actors creating physical theater.
Once a week this group will meet for a couple of hours to show the short 1-2 minute pieces they created in their collaborative duos. After each showing the other participants give positive feedback on the pieces. They may also offer constructive feedback of different elements the artists may explore in adding to their pieces. Then participants will switch partners and receive a new theme for the next week. These mini performances may accumulate in a final showing of the favorite creations of the course.
