On the evening of Saturday, April 26th we are thrilled to present the first performance of our artist-in-residence 2025 season: Chaos Theory. Our 2025 artist-in-residence program features a year-long collaboration between digital artist CG Ryan and multi-instrumentalist Gerard Cox. Doors 7:30pm, show begins at 8:00pm sharp. $8.00 prepaid, $10 at the door.About Chaos Theory: Chaos Theory explores sonic and visual patterns, structure and freedom, and the tension between the human desires for connection and personal autonomy. Gerard Cox has been immersed in improv jazz ensembles for years, playing locally and nationally. Cox and his ensemble will create and weave a sonic experience with alternating focus on individuals and collective collaboration. C.G. Ryan creates playful, surreal imagery that she mixes in real time with musicians to create harmony, contrast, surprise, and unexpected storytelling. For Chaos Theory, Ryan has created hand-drawn animations while listening to free jazz sessions as a base layer for additional layers of Matisse-inspired collage visual motion play. Chaos Theory: come and be surprised.
