Learn to print your very own pillowcases to lively up your room! In this introductory class students will learn to draw their image on a film positive, expose the screen and print. We will focus on the image and color from each student and how it translates onto a pillowcase. The class includes all materials, students only need to bring an idea of what they want to draw and print. Take-aways are two pillowcases, either 14x14” cases for two throw pillows or two 12x16 cases for bedding.
Instructor Bio:
LIZA NILES is a textile designer. educator and strategist. Her professional mission is to continue to be inspired and informed by the natural and cultural diversity of this amazing world we live in. To be part of a team that shares her passion to uplift art, design, and education; as well as her love for textiles, color, construction, experimentation, sustainability and the artisanal approach that comes from far off places. To work with people who celebrate and live by creative curiosity every day. Liza aims to translate what I love to do into professional and financial success, while inspiring others to do the same. Liza has given workshops in screen printed fabrics and textile design in Japan, India, Chile, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico. As well as teaching at FIT, Parsons School of Design and Fleisher Art Memorial.
